It's official: Drishyam 3 is coming! With its third instalment, Mohanlal's well-known crime thriller will soon make a comeback. This revelation was shared by South Indian producer Antony Perumbavoor at a recent awards ceremony. Excitement among the fans was visible on social media as soon as the producer revealed the suspense film's third chapter.
At the Mazhavil Entertainment Awards on Saturday, Perumbavoor revealed the third instalment of the popular crime thriller film franchise starring Mohanlal. The moment he announced it, Mohanlal's fans rejoiced and the hashtag "Drishyam 3" quickly went viral. Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade specialist, also tweeted to confirm the information. Drishyam, directed by Jeetu Joseph, starring Mohanlal, Meena Durairaj, and Ansiba Hassan, was released in 2013 and earned excellent reviews from both the audience and critics. Following the film's enormous popularity, the producers announced a sequel for the thriller Malayalam film. In 2021, Drishyam 2: The Resumption debuted exclusively on Amazon Prime Video and garnered a resoundingly positive reception from viewers.
