Tamil superstar Vijay’s forthcoming film Beast has started creating ripples months before its theatrical release.
Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the black comedy action-thriller film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas in April 2022, but if reports are to be believed, several filmmakers from Bollywood have queued up in front of the producers’ doors to pick up the Hindi remake rights to the film. Yes, you read it right! Beast is in huge demand even before its release.
“Multiple producers from the Hindi film industry are in talks with Sun Pictures to acquire the Hindi remake rights of Beast for an astronomical sum. The idea to acquire the film is based on the producer assessment of the script, which is a hostage-based invasion thriller. In-fact, a top producer, who is known to be in good terms with multiple biggies of Southern industry, is on the verge of cracking the deal for a Hindi remake,” a source close to the development informs an entertainment portal.
Beast unfolds in a mall, seized by a terror outfit. How Vijay manages to free the mall from the clutches of the terrorists and rescues all the hostages safely, forms the crux of the story.
Also starring Pooja Hegde in the lead role, Beast began production in the first half of 2021 amid the pandemic and wrapped up filming on December 11, 2021.
