Ponniyin Selvan 1 trailer: Mani Ratnam promises an intriguing story with a visual extravaganza and outstanding performances by Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya, and Trisha

Mani Ratnam's grandiose historical drama Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 had its trailer and audio launch on Tuesday in Chennai. Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, and R Parthiban are among the star-studded cast members of the movie. The audience has become quite hyped up as a result of the teasers, posters, and songs that have already been released.

Ponniyin Selvan I narrates the tale of Arul Mozhivarman (Jayam Ravi) and his struggle to overthrow the Chola ruler and get to the throne. From the perspective of Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan (Karthi), a messenger for Aditya Karikalan (Vikram), who travels through the southern kingdoms to transmit the communications between the Cholas, the story will be told. Aditya and Queen Nandini's romance was also alluded to in the movie's teaser.

This gigantic piece was inspired by the same-titled novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy in 1955. The novel is regarded as the best tale in Tamil literature. The historical drama, which will be released on September 30 this year, is produced by Mani Ratnam and Allirajah Subaskaranunder the auspices of Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Ponniyin Selvan will become the first Tamil movie to release in IMAX when it opens in theatres. The film will also see a clash with Pushkar &Gayatri’s Vikram Vedha starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan which also hits the screens on the same day.
