Gold, directed by Alphonse Puthren, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara, is set to hit theatres soon. The film's release will take place during the Onam festival, which begins on August 30 and ends on September 8, the filmmaker revealed the news on social media.
Taking to social media, Alphonse Puthren wrote, “Gold is melting this Onam.” Earlier, on June 6, the film's first look poster was unveiled. Nayanthara is seen with a shocked expression while Prithviraj speaks on the phone. The border of the colourful poster includes more characters. Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen are the film's producers, and among the cast members are Ajmal Ameer, Krishna Sankar, Shabareesh Varma, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinay Forrt, and Roshan Mathew. The 2015 film Premam (2015) served as Alphonse Puthren's last production as a director.
Theerppu, another upcoming movie starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, also received a release date announcement this week. The film's release date was set for August 25 according to the movie's producers. After Kammara Sambhavam for Theerppu, director Rathish Ambat and writer Murali Gopy are working together once more. Indrajith Sukumaran, Saiju Kurup, Isha Talwar, and Hannah Reji Koshy are also featured in the movie.
