Rajinikanth asks Aishwarya and Dhanush to “mend their marriage’

Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth announced their divorce on January 17th on their respective social media handles. The ex-couple parted ways because of undisclosed reasons after 18 years of marriage.
The news was a shock for fans as well as their families. Dhanush’s father, popular filmmaker Kasthuri Raja, earlier stated that the separation between the two was because of a family quarrel, and he added that he had spoken to and advised them.
According to the reports, mega star Rajinikanth, father of Aishwaryaa, is also shocked by the decision taken by Aishwarya and Dhanush. Though he has yet to make a public announcement, reportedly, he has asked the ex-couple to reconcile and "mend their marriage".
Speaking about their divorce, Dhanush shared a tweet on January 17th where he wrote, "18 years of togetherness as friends, a couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other." The journey has been one of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. We have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand ourselves as individuals for the better. Please respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this."

On the work front, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa are working on separate projects in Hyderabad.
