Director Hanu Raghavapudi, who is known for making heartfelt romantic comedies, is currently working on his next masterpiece, which will star talented actor Dulquer Salmaan as 'Lieutenant' RAM. His lady love Sita will be played by Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur.
A new cast member has been added to the project and it's none other than the gorgeous Rashmika Mandanna. In this untitled bilingual film, she has a never-before-seen character.
On the occasion of Rashmika Mandanna's birthday today, the makers surprised the audience by announcing that she is a member of the film.
Rashmika is introduced as Afreen in the motion poster, who is seen walking across a flaming car while wearing a crimson headscarf or hijab and holding a rifle. The renowned Big Ben clock tower in London is also depicted on the poster. Afreen, a Kashmiri Muslim girl, is the actress's character. Rashmika appears to have taken on a role that will push her out of her comfort zone, with grief in her eyes and chaos erupting around her. The makers took to Twitter to unveil the poster and wrote the caption, “Meet our rebellious #Afreen as she unravels one of the most beautiful tales ever. Happy birthday iamRashmika.”
Vishal Chandrasekhar composed the background score, while PS Vinod is the project's DOP. The film is supposedly being made on a large budget, and it is currently in the last stages of production.
