It is known that director Mani Ratnam has finished shooting for the first part of his much-anticipated film Ponniyin Selvan 1. The film boasts of an impressive star cast, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The latest buzz surrounding the high-profile historical drama is that an announcement video introducing the characters and revealing the film's big release date will be released in the coming week.
The film is one of the most awaited films of the year and has a huge star cast. It has Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and several other actors playing pivotal parts. The film had begun production in December 2019, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production had to be halted for nine months in 2020.
According to reports, Ponniyin Selvan is made for large-screen viewing, and post-production work has been steadily progressing. Mani Ratnam is working hard on the project, hoping to make a big splash with the high-budget drama. The film applies a record number of graphic works and technicians from foreign countries have been involved in the project.
