Revealed: Here’s how much Ajith has been paid for his much-anticipated film Valimai
Tamil superstar Ajith is a force to reckon with. He has several blockbusters to his credit, which makes him one of the most-sought-after actors in Tamil cinema. Ajith has several exciting projects in his pocket currently, one of them being Valimai.
After the runaway success of Nerkonda Paarvai (2019), the superstar has reteamed with director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor for Valimai, which is due on Pongal. The action thriller also stars Huma Qureshi and Kartikeya Gummakonda in lead roles.
As the audience awaits the theatrical release of Valimai on January 13, an interesting detail has surfaced about the film. A leading publication reports that the makers of the film have paid a hefty amount to Ajith as his remuneration. The actor has reportedly received a whopping ₹70 crore for acting in Valimai. Yes, you read that right!
Ajith is one of the most successful actors working in Kollywood, whose films do tremendous business at the box office. ROI on his films has always been good and that is why makers do not think twice before pumping money into films featuring him. A lot of expectations are riding on his upcoming release Valimai wherein he plays a cop fighting for a couple of social causes. Gummakonda will be seen as the antagonist in the film. It will be interesting to see how it performs.
