Ram Charan is currently on cloud nine as his hit film 'RRR' is being lauded not only on a national but an international level too! 'RRR', which had a blockbuster run at the Indian cinemas is all set to be screened in theatres in the United States. This comes after the film’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’ was nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars in 2023.
Ram Charan is promoting the film aggressively and is being invited to many Hollywood talk shows and interviews. Recently, he was called on the famous talk show of the US, 'Good Morning America!' After that he was invited to 'KTLA Entertainment' where the host addressed him as the Brad Pitt of India.
The host referred to him as the "Brad Pitt of India" during the show. The actor said, "I like Brad Pitt for sure," after being very taken aback by the comparison. Following the show's shoot, Ram posted a few snippets from the interview on his social media account.
Ram was earlier questioned about what it would be like to win the Oscar for Best Original Song. "That day will be the most surreal day of my life, he said. Now that I'm a nominee for Best Original Music, I just want to be a guest on the show, and I can't wait to bring that (award) back to India. Tomorrow is the re-release of 'RRR', so I'd like to ask everyone to watch it, you won't be disappointed."
In 'RRR', Ram played the part of Andhra Pradesh-born liberation warrior Alluri Sitarama Raju. In the movie, Jr. NTR portrayed Komaram Bheem. 'RRR', which debuted in March of last year, earned more than 1000 crore while playing in theatres.
After bagging the Best Song at the Golden Globes 2023, 'RRR' grabbed four major awards at the Hollywood Critics Association. The HCA recently presented the Best Original Song award to 'RRR''s song 'Naatu Naatu'. The movie also took home awards for Outstanding Stunts, Best Action Picture, and Best International Feature.
