'Salaar' is one of the most anticipated films that everyone is eagerly waiting for besides ‘Jawan’. The Prabhas starrer film is a first part of a two-part sequel titled ‘Salaar: Part 1-CeaseFire’. The movie was scheduled to be released at the end of September 2023 but unfortunately, it seems there might be a possible change of date.
The action-packed entertainment flick, directed by Prashanth Neel, was supposed to have a trailer published in August but never did. Now new sources speak that the film’s release date has been pushed by 27 days. The film, which was initially set to release on September will have to wait for almost a Christmas launch now.
The main reason that is cropping up for the delay is that the production team hasn’t been able to complete with the graphics design in the film and they need time till September 28 to finally complete everything. Since there is no other choice, the makers reluctantly decided to postpone the release date. The film’s overseas booking has also begun and it is growing at a rapid pace. Even the film’s director Prasanth Neel is upset with the situation.
However, there has not been any confirmation regarding the news. No official sources or the film makers have confirmed the rumours.
'Salaar' is about a gangster who takes up other notorious criminal gangs after he made a promise to his dying friend. The lead role will be played by Prabhas. Shruti Hassan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu and Easwari Rao plays pivotal roles in the film. The new date for the release of the movie has not been decided by the producers yet.
