The upcoming mythological film Shaakuntalam, starring Telugu actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is slated to release in 2023. The Dev Mohan-starring movie's original release date was set for last year but was later moved to February 17, 2023. Now, the movie has now been postponed once again, as announced by the makers. The new theatrical release date is expected to be revealed soon.
Makers announce the film postpone
Shaakuntalam will not be released on February 17 as previously announced by the movie's creators, who conveyed the news via Twitter. The makers wrote in their official statement, “We regret to inform our beloved audience that we would not be able to release Shaakuntalam this 17th of February. We would be announcing the release date soon. Thank you for your continued love and support.”
Shaakuntalam cast & crew
The movie, which is written and directed by Gunasekhar and is being presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations in association with Gunaa Teamworks, will be released in 3D. Also playing significant roles in the movie are Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr.M.Mohan Babu Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and Jisshu Sengupta.
