Samantha Ruth Prabhu has apparently left Raj and DK's forthcoming Indian version of Citadel, weeks after denying quitting Bollywood projects. Varun Dhawan, a popular actor from Bollywood, will appear in the Indian original Citadel series on Prime Video. The presently untitled project, which is billed as a "local Original spy series," is a collaboration between Prime Video and AGBO, the production company that the Russo Brothers of Hollywood co-founded.
However, Samantha is no longer a part of Raj and DK's online series, according to a report in Siasat.com. The Telugu actress and Varun Dhawan were apparently chosen together for the Indian Citadel spinoff. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden, and Stanley Tucci are the main cast members of the international version of the series.
There are several rumours that Samantha decided not to participate in the series because of her poor health. Additionally, according to the article, Samantha has been instructed to "totally hide from the public for the next three months." However, her team hasn't released a formal comment about it.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed publicly about her health issues, that she had a myositis diagnosis earlier this year. It was previously stated that the actress intended to take a significant vacation from performing until she had fully recovered. The actress may only be able to begin filming for her Bollywood films by May 2023, according to her team's clarification of the situation.
Samantha's team also disclosed that she would begin filming in January for her forthcoming romance drama, Kushi, which also stars Vijay Deverakonda.
