Few days ago, the posters and first trailer for Hanu Raghavapudi's forthcoming film, which stars Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandanna, were published. On the occasion of Ram Navami, the filmmakers finally disclosed the title of the next film, Sita Ramam, in which Mrunal will portray Seetha and Dulquer will play Ramam. Rashmika will be portraying Afreen in the film.
The film is produced by Ashwini Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under the banner of Swapna Cinema, and it is distributed by Vyjayanthi Movies. Rashmika Mandanna is supposed to be playing the part of 'Afreen' in the movie.
Sita Ramam is set against a backdrop of war and will tell the narrative of a soldier portrayed by Dulquer Salmaan and his love interest played by Mrunal Thakur. Rashmika is entrusted with helping the on-screen Ramam and Seetha reunite, much like the mythological Ramayan, and the directors hint a Hanuman-like role for her. Rashmika is said to be on a mission in the film to assist Lieutenant Ram and his Seetha. The first peek video begins with Afreen offering prayers as Sumanth's voiceover encourages her to assist in bringing them back together. When Afreen inquires about their identities, the video shows Seetha and a lovesick Ramam.
The film is Dulquer Salmaan's second Telugu film. In 2018, the actor made his Telugu debut with Mahanati. Meanwhile, Mrunal will make his Telugu film debut with Sita Ramam. This is also Rashmika's first collaboration with both stars.
