Superstar Rajinikanth floored by R. Madhavan in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect
Post the release of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, actor R. Madhavan along with scientist Nambi Narayanan (on whose life the film the film is based) met superstar Rajinikanth, who seems to be deeply impressed by the film.
Sharing a video of their meeting on social media, Madhavan wrote, “When you get the blessings from a one man industry & the very Legend himself, in the presence of another Legend .. it’s a moment etched for eternity.Thank you for your kindest words and affection #rajnikanth sir. This motivation has completely rejuvenated us. We love you as does the whole world.”
In the video, Rajinikanth can be seen honouring R. Madhavan and Nambi Narayanan with silk shawls.
Notably, Rajinikanth had praised Rocketry: The Nambi Effect on Twitter by saying that everybody, especially youngsters, must watch the film. “’Rocketry’ - A film that everybody must watch, especially youngsters. Madhavan, in his debut attempt as director itself, has through his realistic acting and filmmaking proved that he is among the finest directors. My heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Madhavan for having given a film like this," Rajini had tweeted.
Notably, Rocketry premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on 19 May, and was theatrically released in India on 1 July 2022. The film opened to mostly positive reviews from critics, who praised Madhavan's performance, his screenplay and his noble intention to make the film. Made for ₹60 crore, Rocketry has grossed ₹30 crore at the box office so far.
