Nayanthara, R Madhavan, and Siddharth were previously reported to be working on a new film named ‘Test’. The film, which is billed as a sports drama directed by S Sashikanth, has launched a new Diwali special look featuring the key actors.
The film's team had previously issued a motion poster of the film, which featured the actors and marked the progress of the film's filming. The film also stars Meera Jasmine and Kaali Venkat, while the music is composed by singer-turned-composer Shakthisree Gopalan.

The film's motion poster, which was released previously, revealed that it is a sports drama set in the world of cricket. We can hear someone striking a ball and enormous whistles and applause at a cricket stadium in the footage.
The film represents R Madhavan and Siddharth's third collaboration, following ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Aayudha Ezthu’. Along with Nayanthara, this is also their debut performance. Chakravarthy Ramachandran and Sasikanth's Y Not Studios are producing the film.
Nayanthara was most recently seen in the Hindi film ‘Jawan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and the Tamil film ‘Iraivan’, starring Jayam Ravi. ‘Jawan’ was a great hit in theatres and became SRK's second blockbuster film of the year.
Nayanthara is also set to appear in two more Tamil films, ‘Annapoorani’ and ‘Mannangatti Since 1960’, in addition to ‘Test’.
R Madhavan was last seen in the year 2022 in ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, his directorial debut. The film went on to be a hit, earning Madhavan a National Award. In addition, he appeared in the Hindi film ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’.
He is set to appear in the upcoming Hindi film ‘Amriki Pandit’, as well as a Tamil film directed by Thiruchitrambalam director Mithran R Jawahar.

This year, Siddharth appeared in two films: ‘Takkar’, a romantic action flick, and ‘Chithha’, a drama thriller. The latter went on to become a huge success and gained worldwide critical acclaim. The actor's next appearance on the big screen will be in the S Shankar-Kamal Haasan film ‘Indian 2’, which will be released next year.
