For his next film, Rajinikanth has teamed up with successful filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar. The teaser for the film was released a few months back. And now, the makers have shared an official update on the title of the film. The Rajinikanth starrer has been titled Jailer. The makers surprised fans with the announcement on social media.

The makers announced the official title of the film with a special poster. The poster suggests that the film will be an action drama, which is a break from Nelson's previous work.
The title Jailer hints that Rajinikanth will be playing a jail warden. Nelson's position as the film's sole writer has also been confirmed by the addition of Writer-Director to his name on the poster. Shiva Rajkumar is supposed to play the antagonist in the film.
The filming will begin in July, and there will be several extended schedules, as per reports. The majority of the film will be shot in Chennai, and the filmmaker is now working on the script for the first half.
The film's music is being composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Mohna, Ramya Krishnan, and Sivakarthikeyan are expected to join the cast. More details are awaited.
