Today is Venkat Prabhu's 48th birthday, and the Maanadu filmmaker is hard at work on his debut film starring Thalapathy Vijay. The 'Thalapathy 68' crew is rumoured to be filming an action block sequence in the background of Thailand at night, and the schedule is expected to go a little longer.

Furthermore, the film's official pooja video confirmed that the film would star a number of well-known Tamil film industry names, including Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mic Mohan, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshii Chaudhary, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj.
