Gautam Raju is a popular editor who worked on 800 Telugu films. He passed away on Tuesday at the age of 68. Reportedly the editor was receiving medical attention and treatment for a renal issue. A few days back his health took a turn for the worse.
Upon hearing the news of his demise, the Telugu film industry has been incredibly saddened. Several stars, directors, production teams, fans and family have expressed their grief.
MM Keeravani who was the music composer for the hit film RRR, took to Twitter to write"Saddened by the premature exit of Gouthamraju garu . Happened to work with him for Dhammu. Huge respect for his humility and talent."
Sai Dharam Tej also shared, "Heartbroken at the loss of Editor #GauthamRaju Garu, a man of great work & character, with whom I have worked closely during my initial phase of career. You'll always be alive in your work sir. Sending my strength to family and dear ones.#RIPGauthamRaju Garu."
Gautam Raju started his career around 40 years ago and has since worked on 800 films. His start was from ‘Nalugu Stambalata’ in 1982 and went on to work in several films in various languages. Gautam's most recent work was with Mohan Babu in ‘Son of India’.
