The trailer begins with Samuthirakani's character discussing how education is a nonprofit organization in India. According to him, private schools would soon replace public schools. One of the top universities in the nation has Samuthirakani playing its chairman. A few frames later, Dhanush is sent to teach in one of the public schools as a member of the faculty. Samuthirakani has entrusted him with performing that task. The rest of the teaser makes it clear that Dhanush opposes Samuthirakani's plan to convert public schools into yet another lucrative for-profit institution, and it appears that the movie will centre on their fight.
