The wedding took place on November 1, but the festivities began much earlier, on October 30, with a cocktail reception. The party allowed the visitors to unwind before the other rituals. An elaborate haldi and mehendi function was also held on the 31st.

The wedding day festivities began with a baraat parade, which included the groom in a vintage convertible automobile. Varun Tej sported an off-white Manish Malhotra sherwani with thick gold embroidery, a matching shawl, and a pair of jeans. Lavanya was dressed elegantly and gracefully in a Kanchipuram saree. She also wore a similar red top, a bespoke tissue silk veil, and striking temple jewellery that included heavy necklaces and bangles as well as traditional sun and moon hair decorations.
