Vijay and Atlee Kumar’s reunion on the cards?

According to reports, Tamil superstar Vijay and filmmaker Atlee Kumar are set to join forces yet again. The two make for one of the most successful actor-director duos in Tamil cinema and have three blockbuster films to their credit.
Vijay and Atlee first collaborated on the much-loved cop-drama Theri (2016). The thunderous success of the film led them to team up again for Mersal (2017) and Bigil (2019). Now, some media outlets report that the duo is planning to collaborate again on Thalapathy 68.

The director is set to commence work on this project right after wrapping up his Hindi film with superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara. The untitled film is expected to enter theatres in 2022. Vijay, meanwhile, will finish Thalapathy 66 and Thalapathy 67.
Vijay is currently busy filming Nelson Dhilipkumar’s Beast, which sees him opposite Pooja Hegde. He will next move on to work with filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally. As we have seen in the past also, the actor will announce his next only when his last project nears its completion. So, fans will have to wait for some time before they get to know if Vijay and Atlee are indeed coming together or not.
