The much-awaited film ‘Liger’ alas met its release in theatres on the 15th of August. The film is headlined by Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday. The team after the film's release along with the lead Vijay visited the revered Peddamma Talli Temple in Hyderabad. The images that hit the internet from this visit show Vijay wearing a light blue shirt and cream pants. He is accompanied by director Puri Jagannadh and producer Charmme Kaur.
Recently the lead actor shared his experience of working with Mike Tyson for the first time. Saying "He abused me a lot, albeit lovingly, in English, and I can't even repeat what he said to me. But yes, I had a good time with him." He added, “He loves India a lot for its food, music, and people. In fact, he used to ask us to bring Indian food for him which he enjoyed a lot. But yes, he is scared of the crowd here." Mike Tyson had a special cameo in the film. Critics have argued about his presence in the story.
Anchor and actor Anasuya Bharadwaj recently brought to light an incident where Vijay who was then promoting the film ‘Arjun Reddy’ used a curse word. She took to Twitter to write, "Karma is a boomerang and it does come back even if late. Mother's pain will not go away... Karma.. Sometimes it is difficult to come, but it is sure to come!!." She also added the hashtags "#NotHappyOnSomeonesSadness but #FaithRestored." It seems as if the audience's reaction to this grandly promoted and made film is the Karma referred to.
