Over the course of a career spanning more than 25 years, Kiccha Sudeep has worked in a variety of languages. However, he will be releasing a movie later this month that he considers to be one of his big projects to date. His upcoming Kannada film, Vikrant Rona, with a budget of 95 crores, elaborate sets, special effects, and even stars Bollywood diva Jacqueline Fernandez.
In a recent chat, the Kannada star spoke about choosing his projects, he said, “I just got the right opportunities and I just went by my instincts. There are no designing or pre-planned steps I have taken. Whatever came my way and excited me, I did it. And the fact that people in other industries wanted to work with me, was a great feeling and I grabbed it.”
Sudeep who worked in many Hindi, and Telugu films apart from Kannada movies, is so confident in his success that it doesn't stop him from playing evil characters in other languages movies. Sudeep said, “I don’t sit with a pre-conceived notion that I can’t do this or that. I don’t put limitations on myself. If it excites me, I just go ahead. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I am a believer. I am a filmmaker and actor, and I’d like to cater myself to many, many things and not barricade myself to one particular thing. I don’t like to work under some radar. I would like to travel. I’d continue to do films for my directors and writers of my own state, also for all those people who write for me in other industries.”
With a release in five languages, Vikrant Rona will be released as a pan-Indian movie. The anticipation for it is greater than for the majority of Sudeep's prior releases because it is his biggest film. The film is slated t hit the theatres on July 28.
