WHAT! ‘THIS’ Actor Reportedly HIKED Her Fees Drastically For Mani Ratnam Film! (Details Inside)

Nayanthara is without a doubt one of the country's most brilliant actors today. The actress has been in the profession for almost two decades and has become one of the most sought-after actors, earning the moniker of 'Lady Superstar'.

It was recently rumoured that Nayanthara, Samantha, and Sai Pallavi are in discussions to appear in Mani Ratnam's forthcoming film, which stars Kamal Haasan. However, it appears that the negotiations with Nayanthara are nearing their conclusion. According to a news outlet, the actress demanded a hefty Rs 12 crores to be a part of the production.

The actress's prices have apparently climbed as her career has developed, and a sum of Rs 12 crores is really six times what she charged for the 2016 film, ‘Babu Bangaram’. Furthermore, it is said that the actress demanded Rs 3 crores for her 2018 film ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’, which was Nelson Dilipkumar's first film.

The actress allegedly increased her remuneration to Rs 5.5 crores for the 2020 film ‘Darbar’, which stars Rajinikanth. According to sources, she charged Rs 8 crores for her project with ‘Connect’ in 2022. Nayanthara made history with her debut Hindi film ‘Jawan’, directed by Atlee, by being the first South Indian actress to charge a double-digit in crores, demanding Rs 10 crores for the Shah Rukh Khan movie. It should be noted, however, that the statistics provided are based on rumours and have not been formally validated.

Nayanthara’s Work Front:

Nayanthara was most recently seen in the 2023 psychological action thriller film ‘Iraivan’, co-starring Jayam Ravi. I. Ahmed directed the film, which starred Rahul Bose, Narain, Charle, Vinoth Kishan, and others. The crowd gave the film mixed reviews. However, both reviewers and fans praised the actor's performances.

In addition, she made her Hindi debut in ‘Jawan’, alongside King Khan. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Sanjay Dutt, Vijay Sethupathi, and more actors appeared in the film. The film was a huge hit, grossing over 1000 crores and gaining critical and commercial accolades.

Nayanthara's 75th film, ‘Annapoorani,’ will be released later this year. The film is directed by Nilesh Krishna and stars Redin Kingsly, Jai, Sathyaraj, Karthik Kumar, and many others. On the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, the film's teaser was released on October 24.
