A new TV channel on the anvil; Sameer Ahluwalia to be the head of production!
A new TV channel, tentatively titled ‘Evren’ is in the pipeline, and the head of production will be renowned TV star Shabbir Ahluwalia’s brother, Sameer Ahluwalia.

We keep hearing about new TV shows coming up every now and then but to come up with an entirely new TV channel is a challenging task in the supremely competitive Indian Television world. Biggies like Star, Zee, Sony and Colors have been ruling the small screen and entertaining the masses for quite a long now. Now there’s a new contender that is entering the market. If the sources are to be believed, a new media house named, Evren Media Pvt. Ltd. is planning to introduce a new GEC. Evren is helmed by Priey Rajan, the Managing Director of the firm. As of now, the head of production for all the shows will be Sameer Ahluwalia, brother of popular actor Shabbir Ahluwalia .
It is to be believed that the channel is in initial stages and is tentatively titled Evren. Evren is a new media firm which came into existence in February 2017. Initially, it was set up as a production house by a bunch of some media professionals. However, in the due course of time, the team decided to lay the foundation of a new general entertainment channel. Though no official confirmation has been made in this regard, sources claim that the GEC might start its telecast by mid-week or end of December.
Sameer, who was earlier the Production Head for shows like ‘Chandra Nandini’, ‘Jodha Akbar’, ‘Nagin’, ‘Kavach’ and such, has 12 years of experience.
