Reportedly, Ekta Kapoor’s historical show Chandra Nandini on Star Plus is all set to take a lead due to falling TRPs.

TV queen Ekta Kapoor ’s much talked about show Chandra Nandini, which airs on Star Plus and stars Rajat Tokas and Shweta Basu Prasad , is all set to take a leap and, according to sources, preparations for the same has already begun in full swing.
We have always seen that when makers run short of new ideas and engaging plots, they introduce a new track and if that tactic fails to yield the desired numbers in terms of TRP too, the safest bet is to take a leap. The same is being done with Chandra Nandini also. As per a reliable source, “The show is running low on TRP charts and since Star Plus has a number of other shows lined up, waiting for a perfect slot, axing Chandra Nandini wouldn't have been good for the show which once ruled the TRP charts. Even producer Ekta Kapoor wouldn't want one of her most ambitious project to go off air so early despite the fact that it is garnering very low TRPs as compared to her other shows running on other channels. So she has decided to introduce a leap in Chandra Nandini to spice up the proceedings on the show”.
The source further adds, “Several new characters will be introduced post leap, most important of them being Adonis and Bindusar, sons of Chandra with Helena and Nandini respectively. The makers have yet not revealed new actors who join the cast post leap”.
