BollywoodMDB Exclusive: Star Plus to come up with a mythological show ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta’!
The last mythological show which aired on Star Plus was 2013’s Swastik Productions’ Mahabharat.

While almost every other Hindi GEC is airing one or two mythological shows, Star Plus is the only channel that has no such show in its programming. The last mythological show Star Plus beamed was Mahabharat, created by Siddharth Kumar Tewary of Swastik Productions. But looks like that won’t be a case anymore as the channel is going to launch a mythological series titled Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta very soon. A reliable source reveals that the work on the mega-budgeted show has begun and soon the team will start casting actors for the show.
The show will be written and produced by well-known writer Vikas Kapoor. Kapoor is known as one of the most prolific writers in mythological space. He has written several hit mythological shows for Indian television. Vikas started his writing career from Doordarshan and went on to write for all leading private channels. Om Namah Shivaya, Tansen, Mata Ki Chowki, Shobha Somnath Ki, Jai Maa Vaishanav Devi, Man Mein Hai Vishavaas and Jai Santoshi Maa are some of the popular shows that he has written.
With such an electric body of work, we are more than sure that he will bring another gem in the form of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta.
