Colors’ Karamphaldata Shani actors share their fan-tastic moments!

Fans make you who you are, says the cast of Siddharth Kumar Tewary and Rahul Kumar Tewary's (Swastik Productions) Karamphaldata Shani, as they share some of their most amazing fan moments.

Kartikey Malviya - I have many female fans, who call me their brother. So on Rakshabandhan, all my favourite sisters did not eat food till I video called them and made my sister tie a rakhi of their names, on my wrist. Many of my fans touch my feet when they meet me on the sets and that is very overwhelming. I think that it is the grace of Lord Shani himself that I have achieved such heights and I have got so much love.

Praneet Sharma - One time, I was travelling in a train from Mumbai to Jaipur, a girl passed through my berth and she saw me and shouted, "You are Praneet!" and asked for a picture. After that, a group of 35 girls came up to me and started clicking my pictures. I just wanted to travel quietly but then my mom told me that this was out of the love that they have for me in Shani. This changed my outlook and I was thrilled to get this love.

Devish Ahuja - Once when I was in Mcdonalds, a guy came up to me and told me that he recognized me. I was not sure what he was talking about. He was very excited to see me and told me that he follows Karamphaldata Shani regularly and loves my acting.

Dhrisha Kalyani - There is a fan on Instagram, the ID is @star_in_alphacentauri. She absolutely adores me and makes these cute edits with my face on Cinderella, Barbie, etc. She makes the edits of my sisters and cousins as well.

Juhi Parmar – I was in Baroda for an event and when I was on the stage to address the audience, one man got up and told me that his mother watches Kumkum every day without fail. His mother wanted to touch me. I was little confused but agreed. When she came up on stage, I realised she was blind. She touched my face and said I see your show every day, just by hearing you and I wanted to touch and feel ki "Kumkum dikhti kaisi hai". I got goosebumps and had tears in my eyes. She was about 70 years old.

Salil Ankola - I used to have a crazy fan in my cricketing days, who used to follow me anywhere in the world, wherever I was playing. I still don’t know how she managed to come everywhere. But she did and she was the craziest of the lot. This happened for 2 years and she suddenly stopped. I guess she must have got married!

Tarun Khanna - There is this girl called Radhika Dutta from Kolkata, who I think is my craziest fan. She's just 14. She was adamant that she wanted to meet me so her parents had to bring her here to Mumbai. Her father is an honest and hardworking guy with not much income. But he flew her to Mumbai and stayed in a hotel in South Mumbai, so that they could meet me. But as luck would have it, the day they came, I had to go to Umargaon to shoot. Now, people who know these areas, know how long it takes to reach there; 4 hours one-way. The whole family waited for me to come back from Umargaon. They spent some 8-9 hours at Inorbit mall, waiting for me. After travelling for 8 hours in a day and shooting in between, I went straight to meet them. They were so overwhelmed and so was I. But I felt sorry for the father and sympathized with him. He opened up and told me about the hardships he faced. But he got a firing from his daughter for this. She thought that I will be offended by this. But I wasn't. In fact, I was so moved that I requested them to never take such a step and wrote to all my fans and supporters to never struggle so much to meet me. Their love reaches me from their hometowns too. God bless them.

Kunal Bakshi - I feel the word fan is not appropriate. I call them my friends. We (actors) are nothing without them because they are the people who make us who we are. I have so many friends and there are so many messages that I get from them regularly. Some of them have made my fan pages on Instagram and Facebook also. But two such friends are Chetna Singh and Shalini Choudhary. They have been following my work from the last five to six years. So, a big thanks to both of them for handling my fan pages. It's an overwhelming experience. Whenever I meet friends (fans) in malls, movie theatres or restaurants, they come forward for selfies, it feels really great.

Gufi Paintal - There are so many experiences, but I'll only share one which is very interesting. It was the time when our earlier B.R.Chopra’s "MAHABHARAT" was being telecast and we were very popular. We had reached to the part of Maha Yudh, it was the somewhere early 90s, when there was no modern computer technology and so we used to get fan mail through the post. Apart from the regular letters, I got one amazingly different, a threatening letter which read as follows "Abe Shakuni Mama... tu apne aapko Kya samajhta hai.. tune apne bhanjo ko galat shiksha di. phir Dhritrashtra ko bhadkaya phir Jua khilaaya.. cheating se Pandvon ko haraya phir Draupadi cheer haran karvaya.. hamare bhagwan shri Krishna ki bhi nahi suni aur Yudh karwa diya.. ab sun bey langde ...agar agle hafte tune TV par YUDH band nahi karvaya to main wahan aa kar Teri doosri taang bhi Tod dunga tere khoon ka pyasa, fan from UP". So it is always fun to know that you are doing your role well, even if it is a negative one.
