‘Dil Hai Hindustani’ to return with season 2 sans Karan Johar and Shalmali?
The makers are reportedly in talks with Pritam and Mika Singh for the second season of the show.

According to reports, Star Plus is planning to launch the second season of their popular singing reality show, Dil Hai Hindustani. The first season of the show boasted of some big names like Karan Johar , Shekhar Ravjiani , Shalmali Kholgade and Badshah on the judging panel, but we hear that the second season will grace the small screen with some major changes. Reportedly, Karan Johar and Shalmali Kholgade will not be part of the latest season of Dil Hai Hindustani.
According to reports, Karan and the channel mutually decided that the former won’t be the part of the show in its upcoming season. “Since he is already doing Star Plus’ reality show, India’s Next Superstar, it would be repetitive if he judges another program on the same GEC,” a source reveals. However, the reason behind Shalmali’s exit from the show is yet not known.
Reportedly, rapper Badshah will be retained but musician Shekhar Ravjiani ’s presence is yet not confirmed. The latest we hear that the makers are also in talks with music composer Pritam , who was last seen on TV as a mentor and judge in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2016. Apart from Pritam , talks are on with Mika Singh also.
