Ekta Kapoor to launch a spin-off of her blockbuster show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein
The show is expected to hit the tube in June-July on Star Plus

If you love watching Ekta Kapoor 's popular TV series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, featuring Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi in principal roles, here is a great piece of news for you all. Buzz has it that the TV queen is coming up with a spin-off of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. A tabloid reports that the casting team at Balaji Telefilms is currently busy auditioning actors for the new series. If all goes well, the spin-off will hit the airwaves in June-July on Star Plus.
“The idea is to cash in on the popularity of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein that launched in December 2013 and is still running successfully. Ekta has previously launched Kundali Bhagya on Zee TV as a spin-off to the Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha soap, Kumkum Bhagya, that took off in 2014. The spin-off, featuring Dheeraj Dhoopar and Shraddha Arya , was a huge success and even overtook the original in ratings,” says a source.
