Launched with much fanfare, Sony Entertainment Television's brand new show The Drama Company was expected to bring back the audience which quit watching its another flagship program, The Kapil Sharma Show after its TRPs fell drastically in the wake of Kapil Sharma 's mid-air fight with Sunil Grover. The Drama Company boasted of the presence of actors like Ali Asgar , Sugandha Mishra and Dr. Sanket Bhosle who were once the part of The Kapil Sharma Show. It also featured brilliant performers Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh along with the veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty . The new show had everything to become a hit, but somehow it failed to find audiences’ love. The TRPs of the show are very low and the news is coming in that the makers are planning for a major reshuffle in the programming of the channel which will have its effect on The Drama Company also.
The programming team of Sony TV is waiting for the numbers of the show before taking a call on its fate. A report published in an entertainment portal claims that it was in the contract of the show that it would be shifted to the 10 PM slot once Super Dancer 2 is launched. However, if The Drama Company fails to climb the TRP charts fast, the channel might pull the plug on it.
