After winning millions of hearts in the Western world, the popular US sitcom The Last Man Standing is all set to have its Indian version. The project was about to take off a couple of years ago by Shashi-Sumeet Productions and was supposed to broadcast on Star Plus, before hitting the roadblock for one reason or the other. However, the production house and the channel have now decided to revive the show and the casting for the same has already begun, according to sources. If sources are to be believed, Bollywood heavyweights Jackie Shroff and Chunky Panday have been approached to play a pivotal role in the series.
As per sources, Shroff might play the lead character that was originally played by Mike Baxter. Apart from him, the makers are also in talks with Chunky Panday for the same role. The makers have also approached seasoned actress Supriya Pathak to play Vanessa Baxter, the female protagonist. However, she has turned down the offer for reasons best known to her.
