Kanika Maan roped in for a new Zee TV show!
Earlier popular TV actress Eisha Singh’s name was doing the rounds for the same role which has been offered to Kanika.

After creating a sensation in Punjabi music industry with her electric songs, Kanika Maan is all set to venture into Hindi soaps. Yes, you heard that right! The actress has been cast to play the female lead in an upcoming show which will be telecast on Zee TV. Tentatively titled Ishq Pakeezah, the show will star handsome hunk Adnan Khan as the male lead. After its revamp, Zee TV is coming up with a number of new shows and Ishq Pakeezah is one of them. Though nothing has been revealed about its storyline, some insiders say that it will be based on the controversial topic of triple talaaq.
Besides Kanika Maan and Adnan Khan, the show also features Gunn Kansara and Vinay Jain in principal roles. Casting for other important characters is underway. Interestingly, Ishq Pakeezah is the same show for which popular television Eisha Singh’s name was also doing the rounds. However, it is confirmed now that she is not a part of the show and the character of the female lead is being played by Kanika Maan.
