Kathak Guru Pandit Birju Maharaj will be gracing Dance Plus 3 this weekend!

Star Plus’ leading dance reality show, Dance Plus and its season 3, is seriously topping the popularity chart of any talent based reality show and so far, they have every reasons to attain such success! The show and its super judge master Remo D’Souza garnered such credential as they intended to push the limits of talent their contestants has and to even testify on international level. And as promised, shows upcoming episode will be featuring the Ustaad of Kathak, Pandit Birju Maharaj , who have represented India and Indian classical dance on the global platform, would be on the show!

Pandit Birju Maharaj is the leading exponent of the Lucknow Kalka-Bindadin gharana of Kathak dance in India. And added to his legacy, he also has an excellent command over Indian classical music and is an accomplished vocalist as well. Pandit Birju Maharaj has also worked for Bollywood gracing his excellence and choreographed songs from Satyajit Ray' Shatranj ke Khilari , Kaahe Chhed Mohe from Devdas (2002), Dedh Ishqiya , Umrao Jaan , and Bajirao Mastani . It would be interesting to see how wining contestants’ stands true and prove their talents to the standards of Pandit Birju Maharaj as he will be testing their talent in the completion!
