Rithvik Dhanjani: Super Dancer 2 is coming up with a bigger bang and better talent!

Cool and effervescent actor Rithvik Dhanjani shot to fame after playing one of the male leads in Ekta Kapoor’s popular television show, Pavitra Rishta. When the show ended, people thought that the actor would take up another daily soap because that is what most of the television actors do. But Rithvik took a different route altogether and decided to focus more on hosting. Since then he has hosted a number of reality shows and the audience just loves him for what he does on stage. One of the most popular shows where Rithvik impressed us as a swashbuckling host was Super Dancer which aired on Sony Entertainment Television. The show is coming back with a season 2 and Rithvik has donned the host’s hat once again.

When asked about what makes Super Dancer 2 different from other dance reality shows, Rithvik says, “Super Dancer Season 1 has been a revolution in itself. People loved it. People loved the talent it brought to the table. It set a bar of sort on how kids nowadays perform. It was the No. 1 show throughout its run. It had a rating of four which means everybody in the country loved the show. And now, Super Dancer 2 is coming up with a bigger bang, bigger and better pool of talent.”

Hosting is not an easy job. You have to bring something or the other new to the table every time you go on the stage. When asked what new he is going to bring on the show he says, “This is a very difficult question for me to answer. See, every show has a different format. Every show has a different way of me approaching it. Definitely, I will have a different approach while hosting it. Since there are kids on the show, I will have a certain kind of freedom and I cannot go beyond that. I cannot go little crass, below the belt. We cannot do that kind of fun because we are working with kids. So, I think, the only thing that is going to be fresh will be my camaraderie with the new choreographers because, in this season, there is a new set of choreographers. There are twelve of them and all of them are outstanding. Most of them are my friends because I have worked with them at some point in time in my career. So, I think, my camaraderie with them is something I am really looking forward to.”

Featuring Shilpa Shetty , Geeta Kapoor , and Anurag Basu as judges, Super Dancer 2 starts from 30th September on Sony Entertainment Television.
