Salman Khan’s show on Gama Pehalwan to replace Akshay Kumar’s The Great Indian Laughter Challenge!

As per reports, Salman Khan’s upcoming show on Gama Pehalwan will replace Akshay Kumar’s stand-up comedy show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

It is not a secret anymore that after hosting a couple of hit shows on Indian television, superstar Salman Khan is all set to venture into TV production. He will begin his innings as a TV producer with an upcoming mega-budgeted show based on the life of Gama Pehalwan. Dabangg Khan has signed his younger brother Sohail Khan to play the titular role in the series. The latest we hear is that Salman Khan ’s show will replace Akshay Kumar ’s show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge on Star Plus.

Besides Sohail Khan , the show boast of a number of brilliant actors in the casting list, including Mohammad Nazim, Mahaakshay Chakraborty , Aarav Choudhary, Harun Kazi and Priya Bathija among others. While Sohail plays Gama Pehalwan, Aarav Choudhary and Priya Bathija will be seen in the role of his parents. Well-known TV actor Mohammad Nazim, who was last seen in Rashmi Sharma’s Saath Nibhana Saathiya, will essay the role of Sohail’s brother.

According to some sources, the drama series will air bi-weekly and, in most likelihood, go on air by the end of December this year. The makers have, reportedly, decided to allot it the 8 to 9 pm time slot after Akshay Kumar ’s The Great Indian Laughter Challenge comes to an end in the month of December.
