Star Network to shut down Channel V?
The show has been failing on the TRP charts repeatedly and hence the planning of shutting it down.

According to latest media reports, Star Network is mulling over the possibility of closing one of its popular channels, Channel V. The channel underwent a complete overhaul in 2015 and stopped airing music in order to focus on creating original content. However, the new strategy did not yield desired results and the channel went back to airing music in 2016. If that has not been enough already, industry circuit is buzzing with the news that Star has decided to pull the curtain down on Channel V by replacing it with a Kannada sports channel.
Channel V has been one of the favourite channels of the youth in India. When it was launched in the 90s, it was lapped up by the young audience of the country and, within no time, it emerged as one of the most popular channels catering to the youth. However, with the onslaught of other youth-based channels, Channel V lost its sheen. The news of its shutting down is going to break many hearts for sure.
