TV star Amal Sehrawat turns producer with upcoming web-series ‘Guddu Beds Guddun’!

After showing his acting chops in filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s film Sarkar 3 and his web series Guns and Thighs, popular actor Amal Sehrawat will next be seen in Guddu Beds Guddun, a web-series which is also produced by him. “Guddu Beds Guddun is my first comedy project. It is a very interesting concept. It targets urban and rural markets both, which has been missing till now in the web world in India. I have done a cameo role in it, and am grateful to Rajan Shahi Sir and Bhavna Vyas for making me a part of it,” he says.

Sehrawat believes the trend of web-series is good as it provides a great platform for everyone. “It's a great platform for everyone - actors, production house, and the audience. In today’s busy world people don’t have to miss their favorite shows because of their commitments as everything is available to them on net as per their convenience. So, a web series is as good as one that comes on TV,” he says.

The actor shares a good rapport with producer Rajan Shahi. It was Shahni’s show Yeh Rishta Kya Kahelata Hai which catapulted the actor to overnight fame. Talking about him, he says, “A friend in need is a friend indeed. I had a phase in my career where I had no work; I went to Rajan sir and asked for work. He was kind enough to audition me instantly and give the role of Sangram in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Not only this, he has been my guiding light in ups and downs of my personal and professional life. Any important thing, he and my family are the first to know,” he says.
