Akanksha Puri opens up on marriage plans with Mika Singh; says she's enjoying the dating phase

Actress Akanksha Puri was rumoured to be dating popular singer Mika Singh two years ago, according to circulating claims. The couple had uploaded a romantic photo together to wish their admirers good night. They insisted that they are simply good friends back then, though. Well, this year, Akanksha entered Mika's Swayamvar show Mika Di Vohti as a wildcard competitor and openly admitted her love for the singer, which led to an intriguing shift in the relationship between the "friends." She ended up winning the competition since he ultimately decided to make her his future wife.

Fans are now wondering when they will hear wedding bells after a month has passed since the end of the show. The actress, however, opened up about their delayed marriage in an interview. Akanksha stated, “I don’t know why people don’t want to see me in a dating phase. They just want to see me getting married. Why can’t I date, romance someone and enjoy the phase. I want to enjoy the courtship period with Mikaji. I have missed it a lot as I’ve been single for a long time and I want to enjoy the dating phase. Thoda romance Ho life mein toh mazaa aata hai.”

She continued by saying that after being friends for 13 long years, it often takes a long time to advance a friendship. Akanksha continued, saying that Mika and she are at a mature point in their life and are at ease with one another.

Akanksha will apparently take part in Bigg Boss 16 according to recent sources. She explained that these are simply rumours while talking about the same.

Speaking of Mika's career, the singer enjoys a high level of respect in the music business. He has contributed to several mega successful songs over the years.
