Aman Gandhi, who began his acting career in 2016, has played parallel leads in several successful shows, including Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi and Sasural Simar Ka.
Since every actor wants to front a project and play the male lead, Gandhi also has similar dreams. He had once even shot for a show as the lead, but the channel on which it was supposed to air never hit the airwaves.
“After my first two shows, I had shot for 14 months as a lead actor for another show which was to air on a new channel. But that channel never took off and my show was shelved. Post that, I kept getting work but something or the other would come up and it would get postponed or cancelled,” the actor told a leading daily.
He went on to add, “At one point my parents told me to come back to Delhi and I went home in February 2018. Then I gave another audition for Naagin and I bagged the role, so I came back the next month. After that, I have been continuously getting shows like Kundali Bhagya, Daayan, Prem Bandhan and now I am doing Bhagya Lakshmi. I have been getting work back-to-back now, so here I am in Mumbai."
However, Gandhi now hopes that after his ongoing show Bhagya Lakshmi ends, his next role has to be as a lead. “I did all these parallel leads and cameos to prepare myself and learn acting in a better way. Now I feel that I am fully prepared and ready to play the lead in a show. After Bhagya Lakshmi ends, my next role has to be as a lead role,” he signed off.
