Shiv Thakare marked his debut by participating in MTV Roadies Rising and finished as appearing at 6th place. He participated in Bigg Boss Marathi 2 in 2019 and won the show. He recently participated in Hindi Bigg Boss 16 and finished 1st Runner-up. In contrast, MC Stan became the winner of the show. He is now set to appear in Rohit Shetty's adventure reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi.' He will be seen pulling off some daredevil stunts at the show. Shiv Thakare is working on his fitness to get it better before he starts shooting.in his recent interview, he mentioned that Salman Khan, a fitness enthusiast, inspired him.

Shiv Thakare mentioned in his recent interview, he said, "I started working on my physique after being inspired by Salman Khan. There was a time when we couldn't get tickets for his films, and now we have a chance to listen to him speak and give us advice, that's a big thing."
He spoke about his idol and said, "He is a superstar, but besides that, he is a wonderful human being. The way he explains things off-camera, he is a great person."
He spoke about how his Life has changed after 'Bigg Boss 16' he mentioned, "Life has definitely changed, be it on social media or otherwise. People don't just ask for pictures but treat me like their family member."
In the recent 'Bigg Boss 16' episodes, Shiv was also seen giving fitness advice to his fellow contestants. In one of the episodes, he was seen counseling Priyanka Chahar Choudhary on enlightening her workout routine. Shiv guided Priyanka not to skip her gym because she needed a heavy workout session the other day.
