Bigg Boss 16's January 11 episode featured Shalin Bhanot's mother in the spotlight. She attempted to caution him away from Tina Datta and referred to her as a "fake" person. On the other side, she made an effort to repair Shalin's friendship with Sumbul and accused Tina of sabotaging their relationship. The show also featured a video call between Abdu Rozik and his father. A friend of the Tazik singer had entered the competition on his behalf.

Shalin Bhanot's mother, who joined the family week in the most recent episode of "Bigg Boss 16," was seen chatting to her son about his increasing attachment to Tina Datta, a contender.

Shalin's mother tells him that Tina Datta lied and faked her emotions for the broadcast. In the programme, she is heard saying: “She is faking it a lot, she sit with others and talk bad about you all the time so much that you will be shocked to know.”

Mother of Shalin Bhanot, who participated in Bigg Boss 16 further remarked, “Listen to Salman sir because you don’t understand, your game is getting disturbed. Try staying with Priyanka. She is good,” Shalin’s mother said.

On the sets of Bigg Boss 16, Shalin's mother, Shalin, and Sumbul could be seen discussing Tina's impersonation while sitting in the bathroom. Says Shalin: “Mom I did not understand her at all.”

Later, Shalin Bhanot expresses regret for severing their friendship with Sumbul. Mother of Shalin states, “if you guys had not gone your separate ways then it would have been a new ‘misaal’ of your friendship.”
