During their time on the show, rumors of Avinash's relationship with Shafaq began circulating. Allegedly, Shafaq and Avinash had a previous romantic involvement. Yet, Shafaq remained silent on the matter, as did Falaq, who intended to discuss it after Avinash's exit.

Once he left the show, Avinash contradicted the reports, stating there was no serious relationship with Shafaq. However, Shafaq countered his statement. She expressed disappointment with Avinash's denial, believing he should have respected their relationship and not downplayed her emotions.

Shafaq emphasized that being in a relationship is nothing to be ashamed of. She acknowledged Avinash's multiple relationships, suggesting their relationship might have slipped his mind. However, she recalled it as her first significant relationship and heartbreak.

Shafaq shared that she and Avinash began dating 11 years ago while filming "Teri Meri Love Stories." Despite Avinash's recent breakup at the time, they were together for six months before he suddenly cut off contact. With limited social media activity then, keeping the relationship secret was easier. Shafaq mentioned that Avinash "ghosted" her, a situation she can now laugh about, though it was tough back then.

Shafaq clarified she had no issues with Falaq and Avinash's friendship. She trusted her family and didn't expect her sister to distance herself from her ex-boyfriend. Her main concern was Avinash not respecting their relationship.
