On August 14, 2023, history was made when a wildcard participant won ‘Bigg Boss’ for the first time. The first wildcard entry to ever win Salman Khan's show, Elvish Yadav, made history. In order to win the coveted trophy for ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2,’ he defeated Fukra Insaan.
After Salman Khan announced the results at the star-studded grand finale, fans couldn't contain their excitement. While patiently announcing the winner's name, the Bollywood superstar occasionally teased the competitors. Huge numbers of congratulations were posted on social media when Elvish Yadav won ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2.’

The producers opened the voting lines for 15 minutes before to the announcement of the outcome to choose the winner. Voting patterns predicted that Elvish would triumph, and the forecast was accurate. A wildcard won for the first time ever, making history and adding his name to the record books. The 25-year-old wrote a sincere statement on her blog thanking her fans for their love and support.
He wrote, "Thank you #ElvishArmy, this trophy belongs to you. I just brought it for you all. I am grateful beyond words. #ElvishArmy wo hai jo Bigg Boss ka 17 saal ka record tod de. This trophy is yours (sic)."
Fans swamped his Instagram account with messages due of his fame. Elvish reported that following the grand finale, his WhatsApp and Instagram direct messages crashed. He shared a remark that read, "Mera insta dm or WhatsApp crashed hai. Jo jo msgs calls karre hai mere pas nahi aa paare. I'm so sorry, jaise hi theek hoga for sure me reply karunga."
He claimed that because of overflow, he was unable to receive calls and messages. The YouTuber assured the calls and DMs that he would reply once the issue has been fixed.

Elvish Yadav is seen in a popular video telling his pals that he garnered Rs 280 million votes during the 15 minutes of live voting. He claimed that the show's manager, JioCinema head, had informed him of the same.
