Pooja brought up the difference between men and women in society when it comes to talking freely about addiction and recovery. She said that society lets men talk freely about being addicted to alcohol and getting better, but women are expected to hide their drinking habits and not talk about their road to recovery. Pooja explained her point of view by saying that since she used to drink in public, she didn't see any reason to hide the fact that she had stopped. Instead, she took back her story and proudly called herself a "recovering alcoholic," which was a challenge to the negative label that had been put on her.

By talking about her own experiences, Pooja Bhatt draws attention to how women and alcoholism are treated differently and tries to get rid of the shame that comes with it. Her honest confession opens up a more inclusive and compassionate conversation about addiction and recovery.
