The long-awaited promo for Bigg Boss Tamil 7 was introduced on social media by the actor and the show's creators. Despite earlier speculations suggesting Kamal Haasan might not return as the host, the promo confirms his official comeback. The teaser shows Kamal Haasan standing on a wooden deck surrounded by the sea. As the camera zooms in, he turns with a smile and uses a hand gesture that implies he's 'watching.' The new logo for the season is also revealed, featuring a blend of silver and gold elements.

The upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil is scheduled to be broadcast on Star Channels and Disney+ Hotstar. Although there haven't been any official contestant announcements, various reports suggest possible participants including Jacqueline, actor Prithviraj, female bus driver Sharmila, and Dinesh, the husband of Bigg Boss 6 contestant Rachitha.

Meanwhile, ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ Season 2 recently concluded, with Salman Khan revealing Elvish Yadav as the winner. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Elvish shared his most significant takeaway from the show. “Maine seekha patience (My biggest learning was patience). This especially happened when we used to wait for tasks. I would just sit and wait for Bigg Boss to announce the task. That waiting period was very challenging. I will take that with me in life,” he said.
In terms of his professional engagements, Kamal Haasan was recently seen at the San Diego Comic-Con 2023, where he introduced a sneak peek of Nag Aswin's futuristic film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The movie features prominent actors Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in significant roles. Scheduled for release in January of the upcoming year, the film has garnered attention.
Additionally, Kamal Haasan has been involved in narrating the Tamil film ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, directed by Mani Ratnam.
