Star Plus is very clinical when it comes to numbers. If any property does not perform off it goes no matter, how much less time it was on air, something similar might happen to its most recent launch 'Chashni'.
'Chashni', which premiered on March 9, 2023, is rating only around 0.9, which is very slow for Star Plus, which wants their show to rating at least above 1.5
According to sources, the creatives tried to save the day by introducing a leap, but when things still did not perk up, the channel might have decided to cut their losses by pulling the pug.
The show was always controversial, given its concept of a younger sister becoming her elder sister's saas. Maybe Star thought this shock value would lead to numbers, but alas.
