Confirmed: Shaheer Sheikh to reunite with Rajan Shahi for a new show
Television heartthrob Shaheer Sheikh has confirmed that he is reuniting with well-known producer Rajan Shahi for a new show, ending months of speculations. Sheikh and Shahi have previously collaborated on Star Plus’ Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, which was taken off-air due to low ratings.
“I was not too keen on taking up anything that translated into a long-term commitment. However, when Rajan sir approached me, I had to consider it because I have had an amazing experience working with him and his unit on the previous show,” Sheikh told a leading publication, confirming the reunion.
The actor called the forthcoming show Shahi’s passion project. He added that he took up the show as its message resonated with him. “It is his passion project and the message he wants to impart through this show resonates with me,” he said.
If reports are to be believed, the yet-to-be-titled show is billed as a romantic saga and may feature three female leads. It is expected to air on Star Bharat. An official announcement is highly awaited though.
On the personal front, Sheikh and his wife Ruchikaa Kapoor welcomed a baby girl in the month of September. They have named her Anaya. The duo had a court marriage in November last year.
