Maneka Gandhi spoke to the media today, after news of Elvish Yadav's participation in the case went viral. She added that her NGO had been watching Elvish Yadav for a while since he employed deadly snakes in his films. She also added that some people are willing to go to any length for TRPs.
"This is a wildlife crime, a grade 1 crime, seven years in prison. When their venom is extracted, king cobras die. Their venom is used to digest food. They can't consume anything without the poison, so they die. The country has extremely few cobras and pythons. "It is a crime to own, catch, or use them," Maneka Gandhi declared.
"We told him that we were partying; send your people," she added, describing how her NGO bagged the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner. "He dispatched a few individuals to verify whether it was genuine, then five people to make a deal with the snake poison and snakes. He provides service in Gurgram and Noida."
Elvish Yadav posted Maneka Gandhi's comment on X (formerly known as Twitter) and added, "Shocked To See Such People Sitting On such Posts. Jis Hisab Se Ilzaam Lagaye Hai Madam, ne us hisab ki maafi tayar rakhe."
"Iskon Pe Ilzaam Laga do, Mujh Pe Laga do," he added in another tweet. "Aise Milti Hai Lok Sabha Ticket Ki? #shameonmanekagandhi"
