Fantasy dramas, more often than not, manage to catch the fancy of the audience but, of course, there are a few exceptions where such shows failed to live up to the expectations of the audience and were pulled off air within months of their launch.
The same happened to actor Harssh Rajput’s show Kuch Toh Hai - Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein, produced by Balaji Telefilms. Despite being mounted on a huge scale and a pretty talented cast, the show did not click with the audience, which led Colors to axe it after a few weeks’ run.
A publication got in touch with actor Harssh Rajput where the actor spoke about the failure and subsequent closure of Kuch Toh Hai - Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein.
“Honestly, I was a bit upset when I got to know that the show was going off air. Supernatural and shows revolving around naagins mostly connect with viewers. But every show has its own journey. I enjoyed shooting for it, so it is okay,” Rajput told the publication.
He added, “Last year, for Ankahee Dastaan's series, our show Nazar was brought back in the format of a film. Thankfully, I got an opportunity to play half-human-half-devil Daavansh again. Naagin, daayan, pishachini, vampires were all part of Indian stories. These stories never cease to amaze us. Most of the supernatural shows cast a magic spell on viewers, that's why they adore these shows.”
